ThestormisoverandtherainisoverButIcanstillhearthevoiceofthethunderAndthatmakesmetremblingwiththefearIrecallVerywellourhistoryasRwandans.Strength,wisdomandpatriotismwereourtruecolorSmile,loveandunitywereourcostumeMilk,honeyandmeatwereourdailymealUnfortunatelydarknessfellapart.TheyhaddividedusliketheslidesofbreadColonialiststrickedus.TheyhaddeeplyChangedourmindset,theyintroducedishikuAsifweweretheslaves.Weakness,failurebecomeourtruecolorHatredandjealousybecomeourcostumePovertyandidlenesstransformusintomiseryFinally,genocideinvadedournation.Itry,IcrybutIfail.IcouldnotcontrolmysorrowItishardtoremembertheterribleAndhorriblehistoryofRwandans.BloodwaseverywhereandanywhereEveninthechurches,cryingoforphansAndwidowswerelikedeathsongThecountrywerecompletelydead,SadnesswasourbannerbutbeingBorninTutsifamilywasmorethancrime.InterahamwerapedourmothersandsistersTheynamedthemsnakesandcockroachesRubbishandtrashwerethenamesforchildrenThatwasRwanda.ButthatdaywhenthevoiceappearedWiththesoundofhopelikeaviolinWiththecherishoflovenotofhatredWiththesafenessofsecuritynotofconflictsWiththemelodyofunitynotofdivision.Andwiththerenewalofthetriumph.WebecomestrengthenedandmotivatedWere-unitedourselvesandhealedthewounds,WefoughtstronglytogetourtreasurebackandExcitementcamebecausewewonthebattleGenocideended.AstheteardropcannotreturntowhereitcameFromso,wecannotchangeourpastbutwecanLearnfromitbuyeradicatingtheideologyofgenocide.WehaveabilityofrealizingournationWegotcapacityofworkinghardWeoughttochangeourmindsetWemustliveinpeacelikebrothersWebelongtothesamefamilyasweForgiveandaskforgivenessfromeachother.ItisourbenefittocontributetothenationProgramGacacaisthefountainofreconciliationNdiumunyarwandaisthecornerstoneofourSolidarityandcommemorationisthepreciousWeapontoneverturnback.PastshouldnotbeourmasterTraumatismshouldnotintimidateourthoughtsSadnessshouldnotbeourflagMiseryshouldnotbeourmotto.OurmindsneedtoberefreshedOurattitudesneedtoberepairedOurreputationneedtobepaintedOurhistoryneedtobeimprovedbutOurheartsshouldberenewedandrenewal
