Description (French):Après l’acceptation du multipartisme au Rwanda, le journal IJAMBO qui était parmis les journaux qui s’opposaient au gouvernement actuel, montrait les divisions éthniques qui était entre les Hutus et les Tutsi. Dans Ijambo n° 14 on y trouvent les grandes lignes suivantes:
-˝Le bourgmestre est un Inkotanyi˝ disaient les citoyens de Kinyami
-LA CAUSE: soyez vigilants: ˝ surveillez le tutsi pour qu’il ne contamine pas le vivant ”.
-Que vais je gagner si on égorge un Tutsi?
-Nous dévons cohabiter sans se disputer.
Description (English):The introduction of the multiparty system to Rwanda in 1991 resulted in the creation of a number of new publications. The opposition newspaper IJAMBO, one of these publications, was critical of the MRND and Habyarimana and highlighted the ethnic divisions between the Hutus and the Tutsis. IJAMBO Issue 14 (16 pages) features the following stories:
-˝The mayor is an inkotanyi” said the citizens of Kinyami.
-THE PURPOSE: Be carefull: ˝ Keep an eye on Tutsis.
-Wat will I gain if a Tutsi is killed?
-We must live together without arguing with each other.
